The Germantown Cricket Club offers extraordinary facilities for Special Events and provides an elegant setting, along with innovative catering and free on-site parking. The facilities have turn-of-the-century style and beauty, it maintains a timeless charm, and for 150 years has been preserved in a pristine condition for our private membership.

It also has unmatched clubhouse facilities and on-site catering for special occasions. The Club has eight elegantly appointed meeting and dining rooms, including a spacious ballroom with a large stage. Attached to the ballroom is a balcony that overlooks the beautiful grounds and its expansive array of grass tennis courts.

Catering is provided by our Executive Chef and a staff that prides itself in impeccable service and cuisine. Our hospitality seeks to provide a remarkable and exceptional experience for all guests. Our updated kitchen helps ensure that you will achieve a successful and memorable occasion.

You and your guests will step back in time enjoying stylish and innovative cuisine as you step forward in your life or business. The Club can host and cater a variety of functions from corporate meetings to wedding receptions; accommodating from 10 to 225 guests all in very private elegance for both dining and celebration. The highlight for exceptional celebration ambiance is a large world class Ballroom including a Performance Stage,that can be transformed from dining to dancing and decorated to accomplish other associated goals.

Event and Catering Amenities

The club has excellent facilities for events with easy access and a private entrance to the facility. A driveway is provided to drop off guests and free parking is available on premises and valet parking services can be provided. The entrance is protectively covered.

Chris Carnes:
Director of Catering Operations - A graduate of Lehigh University and the Culinary Institute of America, Chris brings almost two decades worth of hospitality industry experience to The Germantown Cricket Club. Born and raised in South Jersey, Chris has held almost every position in the culinary field and will bring his experience and personal touch to your event. No matter your culinary tastes and budget, Chris will work with you to realize your vision for your event and work with our culinary team to oversee it flawlessly.

Byron Lightfoot:
Executive Chef - A Philadelphia native, Chef Byron has been exceeding members’ expectations at The Germantown Cricket Club for over 7 years. Chef Byron brings over 12 years of hospitality experience to his position and will flawlessly execute your culinary vision for your event. Chef Byron and his culinary team look forward to exceeding your expectations.

Patrick Lewis:
Banquet Manager - His creativity and quick wit combine to ensure cool, calm control in the face of even the most unsuspected surprises. Patrick takes great pride in the success of the events he manages and looks forward to helping make your event memorable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we sample a Tasting Menu to select our menu entrees?
We include a complimentary tasting menu for up to 4 people when you book your wedding or Bar/Bat Mitzvah.We will offer a selection of 2-3 salads and 2-3 entrees to taste. We will also offer you the opportunity to sample wines that will be served at your special affair. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer hors d’oeuvres options for Tasting Menus.

When are Tasting Menus scheduled?
Tasting Menus are scheduled for Wednesday afternoons during luncheon service. Our Executive Chef will be available to discuss how items are prepared and presented and will be able to answer any other questions youmay have regarding your menu selections.

Does Germantown Cricket Catering offer centerpieces?
We offer a standard centerpiece of a gold charger plate set with a 5x5 glass hurricane jar with a pillar candle set in clear crystal gems. We also offer 3 votive candles per table.

How many guests do you accommodate at each table?
We typically set each table for 10 guests. We can accommodate a limited number of tables of up to 12 guests and suggest no table have fewer than 8 guests.

Can you accommodate my vegetarian guests or guests with special dietary needs?
Given advance notice, we can certainly accommodate your vegetarian guests and those guests with specialdietary needs. Please let us know when finalizing the menu what your needs are and we will do our best toaccommodate their requests..

I want to offer my guests an entrée choice but I don’t want to put a menu selection on the reply card. What are my options?
We do require a count for each entrée the week before the event. If you do not wish to include an entrée choice on your reply card our duo entrée selections may be an appropriate alternative for your needs.
